Working in a cross-college role – with curriculum directors - and supported by the three middle managers, you will have oversight and accountability for the recruitment of apprentices and adults, curriculum development, performance and operational delivery.
This is an exciting period of growth and development for the Directorate, with bold plans to grow and develop the existing provision:
* For adults - to include an adult offer which provides opportunities for adults in the region to upskill and retrain at all levels, including higher level qualifications, such as Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs).
* For apprentices to expand and shape the portfolio to meet the growing needs of the regional economy.
The successful applicant will play a key role leading on curriculum planning, including the long-term design of an innovative class-based and work-based learning curriculum.
Reporting to the Deputy Principal, you will pro-actively lead and manage the Directorate to deliver an exceptional learner experience.
You will therefore need to be able to demonstrate:
* Strategic vision with the ability to translate to operational outputs and impact;
* Inspirational and motivational leadership qualities;
* Expertise in the curriculum areas of the role with experience of working with adults and apprentices;
* Ability to build and develop sustainable relationships with employers and external agencies;
* Creative, innovative and solution-focused approaches, which deliver an exceptional learner experience and learner outcomes.
This post is predominantly based at Suffolk New College Rural Campus. Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site and the Directorate has provision across all College sites, therefore you will be required to work at and travel between campuses. A relocation support package will be available for the right candidate, if relocating from outside the area.
