Logistics Development Manager Waltham Cross, Herts £40,000 £43,000 plus Car Allowance 5 over 7 shift pattern, 45 hours per week We have a newly created position for a Logistics Development Manager, within our Transport Operations in Waltham Cross. We are looking for an expert in Logistics and Operational sales, who will be able to source new business opportunities to develop the Reynolds Group Transport Network for deliveries and backhauls (collections). Accountabilities: Develop Transport opportunities maximising the utilisation of the Reynolds National Network of fleet and depots to achieve the required budgeted performance. Working with the Finance Department to maintain compliance to the financial reporting system. Building and maintaining backhaul work, promoting collections for the Reynolds Network including Depot trunks and Waltham Cross deliveries, by actively engaging with Customers, Account Managers, Suppliers and buyers. Leading, in conjunction with Procurement, Supply Chain, Customer Account Managers, Transport, and Warehouse Teams, the generation of profitable supplier collection business for the Reynolds National Fleet. Regularly review and maintain all backhaul and collection rates, negotiating with suppliers and buyers. Monitoring achievement of own KPIs for Backhaul and customer delivery Operations. Ensuring overall use of Transport resources, backhaul and route management are maximised and consistent. What do I need to be considered for this role? Ideally hold a CPC qualification. Significant experience within the Chilled Food Industry. In depth knowledge of the legal framework around Transport Operations and working times. A good working knowledge of Transport related legislation and working times. Commercial awareness of supplier collections and Transport groupage. Experienced in working with cross functional teams. Proven successful experience in maximising backhaul opportunities. Ability to prioritise, multi-task and meet deadlines.
