As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible make up sections of high and/or low-pressure piping systems ready for installation., Examine faulty plant or machinery and to ascertain nature and location of defects.
Study plant or machinery drawings, technical manuals or other specifications.
Determine sequence and method of required operations.
Dismantle plant or machinery and remove damaged or worn parts.
Repair defective parts, obtain replacement parts or prepare new parts using hand and machine tools.
fit and assemble parts to rebuild plant or machinery.
Test plant or machinery for correct functioning and make necessary adjustments.
Carry out service tasks such as cleaning, oiling and greasing, according to schedule.
Perform all of these tasks in relation to the repair and servicing of various types of mechanical plant and industrial machinery.
Operate overhead crane/basic slinging in a safe manner.
Install or reposition plant or machinery.
Modify standard machinery for special purposes.
Adhere to all safety requirements including safety checks of tools and equipment.
Use all relevant workshops/site equipment associated with job requirements
Valid CCNSG Safety Passport
Approved Apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3
MIJ10 Qualification preferred but not essential

This is a fixed term contract:
End Date: Approx. 6-8 weeks work
Start Date: Early Feb 2025
25 days holiday per annum (pro-rata)
PayScale: NAECI Bluebook - Grade 5
Hourly weekly bonus is 80p and hourly IBA is £1.57. Lodge if required is £355.67.
May be required to attend inductions prior to your employment start date (dates TBC). There may also be a requirement to start earlier than the dates provided.
