Job Profile for Electronics Sales Engineer - MC269843
Electronics Sales Engineer required for an Electronic manufacturer based in Worthing. To support the production of accurately estimated bids and proposals in accordance with required timescales and company processes to support and increase sales opportunities.
Electronics Sales Engineer Position Overview
1. Coordinate with internal engineers and customers on BoM/data queries. Providing alternatives for customer approval.
2. Preparing BoM/data using MES system for internal engineering sign off.
3. Estimating RFQ's using automated electronic quoting software for material and labour.
4. Quote loading & progressing using ERP system ready for sales sign off.
5. Update system as appropriate on customer, company and opportunity/prospects log, ensuring that the information is updated daily and accurately.
6. Attend customer meetings as required.
7. Managing inbound enquiries via email and phone.
8. Undertaking administrative duties, and any other relevant roles as reasonably required to meet needs of the department.
9. Obtaining competitive and accurate quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors
10. Collaborate with Sales and Operations to develop detailed cost estimates, including labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs in a timely manner
11. Identify potential cost-saving measures and value engineering opportunities
12. Review and analyse bids from subcontractors and suppliers
Electronics Sales Engineer Position Requirements
13. Minimum of HND in Engineering discipline
14. Ability to understand engineering concepts, electronic components/PCB's manufacturing methods and drawings.
15. Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
16. Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook).
17. Sales experience desirable.
18. Experience with CRM/ERP/MES system is advantageous.
Electronics Sales Engineer Position Remuneration
Salary dependent on experience likely circa £35k
Office based in Worthing
WFH only for reasons that suit work on certain projects where it can be remote
