Guarantee Specialist
Departmental Function
To maximise company revenues and their customers ROI through savings associated with Value Engineering, Warranty Management, Consultancy, PBH O&A policing, Sourcing, Guarantee Management and other value stream activities.
Contact suppliers in order to seek clarification of workscope/pricing/warranty and challenge when a decision is unjustified.
Record VE/WTY outcomes in the respective systems.
Enforce contractual terms and recover associated benefits.
Manage contract TAT remedies, including those enshrined within the Airbus SSC and Boeing PSAA.
Be the go-to department for engineering/technical issues and provide subject matter expertise to other departments.
Assist Sales & Business Development with designing strategic programmes for customer cost reduction and gainshare revenue generation.
Meet requirements relating to Technical Services obligations contained within customer Contracts, SOWs and MOUs.
Apply continuous improvement to develop processes, procedures and systems in order to improve the department’s overall efficiency and ability to meet the needs of the customer.
Apply continuous improvement to develop new cost reduction mechanisms to maintain competitiveness.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Reducing cost of aircraft equipment ownership through the management and recovery of benefits associated with performance guarantees.
* Generating penalty claims associated with Shop Processing Time/Turnaround Time guarantees.
* Liaising with suppliers in order to negotiate credits and challenge when decisions are unjustified.
* Maintaining Shop Processing Time database.
* Supporting the department manager with tasks and a broad range of technical related projects to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Working with the Strategic Sourcing department to enforce contract guarantees.
* Maintain data integrity.
* Assist in new starter training.
* Comply with letter and spirit of the contents of company manual.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with other departments and suppliers.
Candidate Profile:
Two years’ experience in a related discipline.
Clear communicator with good written and verbal skills
Strong time management skills and an ability to prioritise
Ability to work effectively as both an individual and as part of a team.
Ability to use Outlook, Excel, Word and use of the internet.
Focused and methodical approach to managing work.
Good attention to detail and takes pride in accuracy.
Resourceful and use of initiative.
Good interpersonal skills.
Quick to learn, potential for training and development.
Passion for aerospace.
Knowledge of the Airbus SSC and Boeing PSAA – Desirable
Have an understanding of Information Security practices and is able to attain and maintain competency in those as prescribed by company policies.
