Leadenham Parish Council has a vacancy for a Clerk/Responsible Finance Officer.
Leadenham Parish can be found between Newark and Sleaford just off the A17.
Parish Clerk - Responsible Finance Officer
The role includes:
* Managing the day-to-day business of the Council.
* Preparing agendas and drafting minutes.
* Advising the council and ensuring council compliance with legislation and best practice.
* Implementing Council decisions.
* Managing and reporting on the Council’s finances, including year-end audit reports and VAT.
* Updating the Parish Council website.
Requirements:
* Ability to work on your own initiative.
* Ability to time-plan and prioritise.
* Confidence to deal with members of the public, councillors, local government bodies, contractors.
* Confident in the use of Office, Word, Excel and website updates.
Salary is dependent on experience, within the local government scale recommended for Parish Clerks. Subject to annual review along nationally agreed and published guidelines.
Hours: 20 hours per month.
Location: Work from home, with attendance at meetings, which are held at Leadenham Village Hall.
