Senior RF Engineer - PCB / LTE
A leading communications technology developer has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior RF Engineer to join their expert R&D team where you’ll work on the development of future products from concept through to production and support.
This company is going through a huge round of expansion due to customer growth and this is one of twenty roles they are currently recruiting for. I've recently placed four Engineers with this business who spoke extremely high of the nature of the work and ultra modern test and lab facilities.
Responsibilities for the role of Senior RF Engineer will include:
* Evaluate architectural and system impacts of new product designs and concepts from a Platform Mobile RF perspective.
* Work with systems, hardware, and software engineers in a co-development environment to envisage effective and balanced product architectures.
* Bring-up the Hardware architectures to life into functional prototypes with a very active hands-on approach.
* Ensure architectural integrity of hardware solutions which are aligned with technology roadmaps.
As the selected Senior RF Engineer, your skills and experience should include:
* At least 5 years proven industry experience in an equivalent role.
* Proven ability to take a system view of Mobile RF solutions.
* Strong background in RF design at PCB board level.
* Experience with GSM/LTE mobile platforms and reference designs (e.g. Qualcomm or MediaTek).
* Proven hands-on experience designing and bringing-up mobile RF platforms from the ground up.
* Experience defining, implementing, and supervising PCB layout design rules and constraints
* Experience with RF simulation tools (e.g. ADS, MWO, etc.).
* Experience with digital baseband RF integration.
Salary is up to £95,000 plus a strong benefit package.
