About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our team in Cardiff. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate the activities of three key teams: the Refurbishment Team, the Warehouse Team, and the future Repair Team. Your primary focus will be to drive operational excellence, implement key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify innovative strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support the long-term growth of the operation.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional with over 4 years of experience in the industry to make a significant impact on our operations and contribute to the success of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Manage and support the Refurbishment, Warehouse, and future Repair Teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and fostering a collaborative work environment.
* KPI Implementation: Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs to measure team performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive accountability.
* Cost Control: Analyze operational processes to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce expenses without compromising quality or efficiency.
* Process Improvement: Bring fresh ideas and innovative solutions to enhance workflows, optimize resources, and improve overall operational performance.
* Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute plans that align with the company’s long-term goals and vision.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all teams adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
* Training & Development: Support the professional growth of team members by providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or a related industry.
* Proven experience managing multiple teams and driving operational improvements.
* Strong understanding of KPI development and implementation.
* Demonstrated ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective solutions.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
* Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software is a plus.
