Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Senior Pharmacist – Digital Health and Clinical Pharmacy based at University Hospital Crosshouse (part-time or job share applications considered).
What you will do:
You will work on supporting, developing and implementing the NHS Ayrshire and Arran Hospital Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (HEPMA) system and also to lead, develop and deliver the clinical pharmacy service provided to the Combined Assessment Units and Emergency Departments within University Hospital Crosshouse and University Hospital Ayr. Your time will be split between these two services.
You will participate in the wider work of the Digital Pharmacy team in supporting the day to day management of the WellSky HEPMA and pharmacy stock control system and development of future functionality. The successful applicant will also be required to contribute to the on call HEPMA support rota. Key responsibilities may change subject to the needs of the service.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
Essential:
1. Masters of Pharmacy Degree or equivalent
2. Scottish Hospital Pharmacy Vocational Training Scheme (or demonstrable evidence of clinical knowledge equivalent to that level)
3. Practice Certificate in Pharmacist Independent Prescribing
4. Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy (for the HEPMA aspect see knowledge) (or demonstrable evidence of clinical knowledge equivalent to that level)
5. Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (including evidence of CPD)
6. Relevant pharmacy experience with considerable experience in clinical pharmacy
7. Ability to work autonomously
8. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, in a pharmacy and multi-disciplinary environment
9. Required to demonstrate a highly specialised level of clinical pharmacy knowledge skills, clinical reasoning and judgement
10. Good knowledge and understanding of relevant standards and guidelines
11. Required to demonstrate an expert level of pharmacy information systems and their application to clinical practice equivalent to post graduate diploma level
12. Requires advanced arithmetic skills
13. Required to demonstrate a good understanding of Business Objects to develop information and reports
Desirable :
14. Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain
15. Approved tutor for pre-registration pharmacists or pharmacists/technicians undertaking further qualifications.
