Take a closer look at the role: Job description: This role will play a key role in supporting the tax function by assisting in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax legislation, and contributing to tax planning initiatives. This position requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for tax compliance within a fast-paced environment typical of a motorsport setting. The successful candidate will work closely with the Tax Manager and finance team members, and must demonstrate the ability to distill complex tax concepts into clear processes. What you will be doing: Assist in preparation of corporate tax returns, VAT returns and other compliance submissions. Maintain accurate tax records and documentation to support tax compliance activities. Assist with developing and maintaining a tax risk register Assist with drafting internal tax policies and processes Assist with tax audits by providing necessary documentation and information to tax authorities or external auditors. Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and applicable compliance requirements, advising the finance team accordingly. Collaborate with various departments to identify potential tax saving opportunities and communicate implications of transactions. Support in the implementation of tax planning strategies in line with the company’s goals. Participate in preparing tax briefings and internal communications regarding tax matters. Perform ad-hoc tax-related projects as needed to support the overall goals of the finance team. Assist in tax reporting i.e. SAO Requirements Relevant academic qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferably ATT qualified or AAT with proven experience in a tax role) Understanding of UK tax laws and regulations. Knowledge of international tax principles is a plus. Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail. Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel. Strong communication skills to effectively convey tax concepts to non-tax professionals. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement in processes and systems.
