Job Description:
An opportunity has arisen for a Data Controller to provide Data and Documentation Management support, alongside Information Governance services to the Engineering functions in Luton, to ensure that the Engineering Functions deliver projects in accordance with company processes and to ensure that data standards are continuously maintained in accordance with Leonardo’s Configuration and Data Management Control framework.
This role will provide a platform to the successful candidate for career and skills development within the Data Management discipline and further advancement within the company.
The role will be based at Leonardo UK’s Capability Green site in Luton, but may include travel to other Leonardo and customer or supplier facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administration of Data & Document tasks assigned to you.
2. Comply with Document Management procedures and follow laid-down processes.
3. Implement and maintain transmission of data records for project data in accordance with national and international regulations and security aspects (e.g. ITAR, UK Export Controls). Ensuring that incoming and outgoing data is processed in line with company procedures and processes.
4. Co-ordinate with colleagues to ensure the project teams understand Data/ Document requirements.
5. Responsible for operation of secure data transfer systems.
6. Monitoring & reviewing accuracy of records.
7. Advising the project teams of best practice.
8. Contribute towards the Delivery of Milestones.
9. Receipt / Transmittal of data.
10. Timely response to requests for support, involving data and document activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. IT Skills: Microsoft Suite particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
2. Able to read technical documents, drawings and parts lists.
3. Strong Attention to detail.
4. Excellent organisation and planning skills.
5. Administration experience.
6. Awareness of IT remote access principles.
7. Knowledge and understanding of MoD security classifications and the handling of related data.
8. To be conversant with UK Government Export Control and ITAR regulations.
9. Good communication skills.
Desirable:
1. SharePoint experience.
2. Siemens Teamcenter PLM experience.
