We are looking for a Reablement Worker to join our Short-Term Support Service in the Southeast area, Blyth Community Hospital, on a permanent, part-time basis, 30 hours.
The successful candidate will be part of a team providing short-term limited interventions to promote people's independence. The role typically involves visiting people in their own homes and supporting them to regain their ability to carry out a range of day-to-day tasks.
You will work with people to set their personal goals and help them to achieve them. This could include helping them with personal care and meal preparation, improving their mobility within their home and helping them to get out into their community.
Your focus will be on helping people to regain their ability to live their best life, and the feeling of job satisfaction is second to none. Full training and supervision are provided and there are opportunities to develop a career in care.
Some staff have moved to management positions in care and others have developed careers in allied areas such as undertaking social work qualifications or moving into commissioning and quality assurance roles.
If you have a caring nature, enjoy working with people, and would like to make a difference to people's lives, we would love to hear from you!
