Job title: Aircraft Structures Engineer - Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT)

Salary: £46,426 - £54,759 dependent on skills and experience.
What you'll be doing:
* Defining and carrying out engineering analysis tasks allocated to you and to your team members as part of the Advanced Aerostructures group, working on a range of modern military air platforms.
* Reviewing, checking, and approving work done by less experienced colleagues.
* Mentoring and developing less experienced colleagues to build up the team's knowledge, skill, and experience across the Structures discipline.
* Ensuring effective interactions between team mates, suppliers, customers, and others, to develop efficient and effective working practices, and resolving issues as they arise to maintain this effectiveness.
* Carrying out analysis of structure fatigue and damage tolerance calculations using a variety of software applications, to demonstrate that the structural design meets relevant certification and project requirements.
* Assessing the F&DT implications of modifications and repairs to in-service aircraft.
Your skills and experiences:
* You will have a STEM-related degree or relevant aerospace engineering experience.
* Familiarity with structural fatigue and fracture mechanics, dynamics, vibration, and acoustic effects analysis methods.
* Good understanding of classical structural analysis techniques and methods.
* Experience in using and applying structural analysis tools such as Nastran and output data processing techniques.
* You will have experience of leading engineers in developing and delivering satisfactory customer outcomes.
* Demonstrable experience of Aircraft Structural Engineering, and the application of F&DT analysis.
