Job summary The States of Guernsey have an available opportunity for a suitably qualified nurse to join their Recovery and Rehabilitation team service based in Guernsey, working with a well-established, dynamic multidisciplinary team working with Adults of working age. Theyare seeking to recruit enthusiastic, motivated and adaptable individual who can effect positive changes for people experiencing severe and enduring mental health concerns - with excellent assessment and risk management skills - alongside all round Service User centred skills and a genuine desire to work in this area. You will have experience and confidence in working autonomously in an adult mental health community setting and will have skills in engagement, assessment, risk management and care planning. Main duties of the job The post holder will carry out a wide range of duties principally to assess, develop, implement and evaluate care to work within the wider multi- disciplinary team and also autonomously as required. The post holder will follow a Recovery focused model of care that promotes service user autonomy. To work closely with the MDT team to ensure care is delivered to service users in accordance with agreed programmes of health care delivery and recovery. The post holder will demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively on all levels within both the acute mental health service, primary care and with relatives/carers. The post holder will embed the principles of 6CS when working with service users and will be guided by established policies and procedures within the clinical setting. The post holder will have a clear knowledge of the professional standards of practice and behaviour as guided by The Nursing Code of Practice and will adhere to these principles at all times.
