Main duties of the Speech and Language Therapist:
1. Working within the community rehabilitating patients with new stroke diagnosis.
2. Develop highly specialist appropriate assessments and treatment programmes and create appropriate resources for therapeutic intervention.
3. Contribute to multidisciplinary support for clients with a range of swallow and communication difficulties.
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist/SLT:
1. Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
2. Recent UK/NHS post-qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist.
3. Competent experience in community rehabilitation of patients with new stroke diagnosis.
