We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and professional Electrical Supervisor to lead and manage our in-house electrical team, along with our external contractors. Ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance and customer satisfaction across our electrical maintenance services.
Electrical safety is a key priority for our service and our engineers play a vital role in ensuring our properties are safe, meet the decent home standard, and are as energy efficient as possible. We manage over 5,100 council properties.
Are you passionate about electrical safety in residents’ homes?
The electrical supervisor will play a vital role managing our electrical team, keeping electrical safety at the forefront of any works undertaken. You will be managing a team of 10 qualified electricians and working closely with our gas supervisor and team of 15 gas and heating engineers as we look to drive the team forward.

We are introducing new low carbon technologies to achieve net zero carbon emissions across our housing stock. This target means we are re-training our work force to deliver and install modern cleaner and greener energy products like Air Source Heat Pumps, PV solar, solar thermal and more, into our properties. We see this approach as a priority for increasing the energy performance of our properties and investing in our workforce.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills with these new technologies, working collaboratively with our gas supervisor leading the way in the future of greener technology, we are a forward-thinking team looking to embrace innovative energy efficient solutions.
About you:
The successful candidate will have completed an appropriate level of training and undertaken an electrical installation apprenticeship along with a minimum of 5 years industry experience in domestic fault diagnosis and repairs and be highly skilled and experienced in all aspects of the electrical trade.
In addition, you will have supervisory experience including the management of sub-contractors. You will have experience in completing QS duties for the NICEIC certification. You will be a forward thinking, results driven professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for excellence within the electrical and social housing industry.
City & Guilds 2357 (NVQ Level 3) in Electro Technical Technology or current equivalent.
City and Guilds 2391 Certificate in Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations, or current equivalent.
City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations with subsequent Amendments.
