The Role:
As an Associate in the Real Estate Litigation team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of residential real estate matters, advising clients on various issues and disputes. You will gain exposure to a variety of high-quality cases while being supported by an experienced team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Handling residential landlord and tenant matters, including rent recovery and possession claims.
* Advising on service charge issues, including S.20 and related tribunal proceedings.
* Assisting with building safety matters, including repairing obligations, fire safety legislation, and service charge issues.
* Working on enforcement of easements, restrictive covenants, and rights of light.
* Dealing with disrepair claims and adverse possession disputes.
* Supporting transactional work in relation to real estate matters.
* Opportunities for involvement in other areas of real estate litigation as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
* 1-4 years PQE in Real Estate Litigation, with a particular focus on residential matters.
* Experience with landlord and tenant disputes, service charge issues, and building safety concerns.
* Strong understanding of property law, including enforcement of easements, restrictive covenants, and rights of light.
* Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently while supporting senior team members.
* A proactive and detail-oriented approach to client service and legal work.
* Excellent communication and client management skills.
