Our client is a market leader within the technology sector. Due to an employee taking maternity leave, they are seeking to recruit an experienced all-round accounts assistant for a six-month fixed-term contract. There is a possibility of a permanent role thereafter, although it is not guaranteed.
The main focus of the role will initially center around the accounts payable function, but will evolve into assisting with:
1. Accounts receivable
2. Employee expenses
3. Bank reconciliations
4. VAT
5. Intrastat
6. Maintenance of the fixed asset register
7. Prepayments and journals
8. Some elements of credit control
The team is small and works closely with the sales and marketing teams, creating a lively environment. Therefore, a strong outgoing personality is essential. Good Excel skills are a prerequisite, and experience with MS Navision is an advantage, though not essential.
This role would suit a candidate pursuing AAT who has a strong foundation in the accounts environment and is looking to further their career.
