Job Description As Shift Supervisor you will support the Shift Manager in ensuring the handling and despatch of all customer products is achieved to optimum levels of cost and efficiency through the effective supervision and control of all staff and resources, whilst equally maintaining the highest levels of safety, welfare and security within all areas of warehouse shift activity. Working hours: Monday to Friday rotating, 06.00-14.00/14.00-22.00. Salary: £30,491.65 per annum plus £3,049.16 shift allowance. Key Duties of a Shift Supervisor: Ensure all products are received into the warehouse within client expectations and SLA and these are available for the ongoing operations in the appropriate condition. Ensure all products in line with customers/clients specifications and quantities are picked/packed and despatched to meet with required Service Level Agreement standards. Ensure the handling of all products is carried out to the highest standards of Health and Safety, equally applying best practice to the protection and packaging of Customers/Client orders to sustain transition through Warehouses/Distribution Centres and Carrier Networks. Such packaging should meet with minimum standards for the packaging and wrapping presentation of consignments to Client’s Customers. Support the Shift Manager to ensure optimum levels of stock integrity are achieved through understanding of all processes and procedures of Warehouse Operations. Ensure adequate supplies of consumable and packaging products are available in line to meet with all customer/client order despatch requirements. Maintain accurate records of all receipt, issue, usage and holding of consumable packaging and materials. Through consultation with Shift Managers responsible for ensuring all areas of responsibility are staffed commensurate to the achievement of scheduled and planned tasks and peak volume associated activity in line with optimum service and cost efficiencies. Carry Out regular 1-2-1s and reviews with colleagues. Provide coaching to staff where necessary to support personal improvement or development. Supervision, guidance, support, instruction and training for the development of skills, knowledge and awareness relative to operational requirements, Health, Safety and Welfare of all staff within areas of responsibility. First line of investigation into Health and Safety accidents. Ensure all processes, daily checks, defect reporting, training and operations of MHE are conducted in line with both Company and Legislative Health and Safety Requirements. Deputise for the Shift Manager during periods of absence. Ensuring levels of housekeeping are maintained to the highest standards throughout areas of responsibility or/and where appropriate informing colleague Shift Managers of improvement requirements where appropriate. Support the commercial objectives of the business through a process of continual review and operational appraisal
