Job Title: Team Leader Starting Salary: £41,511 progressing to £45,718 Hours: 37 hours per week Location: Stevenage Contract Type: Permanent Directorate: Adult Care Services About the team The ACS Income team is dedicated to managing financial assessments and income for Adult Social Care services in Hertfordshire. About the role As a Team Leader you will lead and provide line management to a small team who generally undertake similar duties. You will be responsible for translating wider corporate and departmental objectives into detailed activities for your team, and monitoring performance against these. This role requires an DBS check to be completed as part of your application process. The primary base for the role is Farnham House (Stevenage), with hybrid working available for a proportion of your time once trained. About you Essential : Line management of a Senior Finance officers and Financial Assessment and Income Officers who undertake financial assessments and deal with enquiries from people receiving care services or their representatives. Resolving complex queries Conducting monthly performance reviews Overseeing staff training or providing information and advice Issue guidance on complex cases - lead by example and act as a role model in line with our values and behaviours. Responding to complaints, MP and Member enquiries Leading on specific projects to improve service delivery. Proven track record of leading a team and verifiable service delivery improvements. Ability to manage competing priorities and complex workloads with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Desirable : Excellent communication skills and technical knowledge to respond to enquiries and representations from a wide range of sources including service users or their representatives, Council Members and Members of Parliament. Insight into customer journeys and relevant skills for working in a busy service area, ideally within a finance context. The ability to work under tight deadlines and manage competing demands. Knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and the related statutory regulations and. A full driving license.
