The Role:
* Lead and manage the SEN provision across the school, ensuring that all students with special educational needs receive high-quality, targeted support.

* Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to ensure consistent and effective support for SEN students.
* Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices for supporting children with additional needs, promoting a culture of inclusion.
* Monitor the progress of SEN students, ensuring they are making good academic and personal progress, and implement strategies to address any gaps.
* Oversee the SEN budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize student outcomes.
* Lead on the development of the school’s SEN policy and ensure that all legal requirements and regulations are met.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a SENCO qualification (or a commitment to complete this within a set time).
* Previous experience working as a SENCO or in a role with significant involvement in supporting children with special educational needs.
* Strong knowledge of SEN strategies, interventions, and best practices to support students with a variety of needs.
* Proven leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and support a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, parents, and external professionals.
* A deep commitment to inclusive education, with a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.
