Our client, a leading technology company based in Stoke on Trent, is urgently looking for a PA. Working directly to the MD on projects, the role involves working on reports, organizing travel, and meetings.
Key Areas:
1. Protect MD's time and ensure all details within the day are taken care of to a high standard & timescale.
2. Co-ordinate and update diaries with appointments, giving daily reminders of schedules & commitments.
3. Meet, greet, and caretake visitors and guests on MD's behalf, as well as accompany them to meetings and events.
4. Some overnight stays/travel may be required to support awards, exhibitions, and conferences in the UK/Europe.
5. Develop a full understanding of MD's life, role, routine, and relationships to ensure the best support possible - some aspects of personal support may be required on an ad hoc basis.
6. Organize all tickets, travel, hotel, and restaurant bookings as required.
7. Manage all cash float/expense/receipt management in relation to the above.
8. Provide entire secretarial service with calls, post, correspondence, reports, files, meetings (agendas/minutes/actions/reports), and visitors, as well as manage business profiles on LinkedIn.
9. Establish and maintain structured and fluent working relationships across all key people MD interacts with.
10. Good adherence to security and health & safety procedures, reporting issues promptly as discovered.
11. Keep records/files updated with accurate, timely information and shredding of all documents/certificates.
12. Carry out/contribute to projects and background research of a business and technical nature as determined.
KEY Skills:
1. Strong IT, typing & shorthand skills with business support and executive PA experience, ideally within the private sector.
2. Robust with excellent, positive interpersonal & communication skills at all levels.
3. Trustworthy, discrete, and diligent with an impeccable eye for detail and a methodical approach.
4. Commercial and pro-active with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
5. Energetic with a flexible approach to deliver exceptional service whilst maintaining a calm impartiality.
