An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Booking Clerk to join the Patient Access Centre team at Liverpool Women's Hospital on a permanent basis. We have 2 post available x1 full Time Permanent x1 Full Time - 12mth Fixed term/Secondment The post holder is responsible for undertaking the booking and scheduling of patient appointments and associated administrative duties. The post holder will support referral and appointment booking processes using Trust systems and waiting lists to contact and offer patients appointments. All activities within the Booking and Scheduling Service must comply with the Trust’s Elective & Cancer Access Policies and ensure patients are offered an appropriate choice of appointments. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and will be computer literate with the ability to quickly learn several different systems, including e-Referral, Digicare, Outlook and Excel. A large proportion of the Booking Clerk's role is to be the first point of contact for our patients therefore, a very high standard of customer service skills are required, an exceptional telephone manner and a calm, understanding and caring nature. Patient Access Centre manage a high volume of calls coming through daily and the post holder will be required to support with the chronological booking and scheduling of clinic appointments.
