Techniche Global are supporting a leading manufacturing company to appoint a Process Improvement Engineer. The successful candidate must be prepared to undertake the training in Time Study practices, have a proven manufacturing background and be familiar with continuous improvement techniques. Salary: £25-29k (salary will be revised after probation period)Location: Bishop Auckland, Durham- 100% onsite Duration: perm, full-time Working Hours: 37.5 Hours per week, 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8.00am to 2.00pm Friday.This vacancy will be subject to a 3-month probationary period. Key Competencies/duties: Once training is complete: Carry out work measurement exercises using the techniques of time study. Establish standard minute values. Carry out method study exercises. Improve design and effectiveness of labour, process layout and work flows. Production of reports. Design documentation, maintain and improve recording systems within own area of responsibility. Support new product development and introduction. Assist in cost reduction exercises. During the training period the successful candidate will be involved in various manufacturing activities to gain an understanding of processes and equipment. Essential qualifications/experience: Educated to A level standard or NVQ Level 3 is preferred. Experience of working in a manufacturing environment. Excellent IT skills. Skills and Attributes: Able to communicate effectively at all levels. Self-motivated, capable of working alone or as part of a multi-functional team. Flexible attitude.
