Salary: £70,000-£74,000 per annum
Working Pattern: Mon-Fri 37.5 hours per week
Location: Lochgilphead (Hybrid working will be considered although you must be able to attend the Lochgilphead office on a weekly basis)
This is a key, hands-on finance role offering a broad scope of responsibilities and the opportunity to add real value to the operations of this important PPP contract.
You will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the A&B PPP contract at both SPV and Operator levels whilst undertaking and managing all statutory, client, funder and regulatory reporting and compliance with the contract. You will be measuring financial performance and reporting against PPP Project Agreements.
Alongside this you will support the consolidation and provision of insightful reports on financial and non-financial performance as part of the monthly and quarterly reporting cycle across the business.
We do love a bit of data here at Biffa and you can expect a bunch of it in this role. You will be responsible for preparing and submitting of the monthly business performance report, strategic plan annual budget and half year review in accordance with Group requirements.
Your key responsibilities:
* Preparation of month-end accounts, forecasts, cashflow forecasts and budgets including the provision of insightful variance analysis
* Provide monitoring of cost/revenue drivers
* Preparing financial data associated with Contract Variations and other financial contractual matters
* Support capital expenditure requests and associated business cases
* Oversee the production of monthly/quarterly/bi-annual and annual reporting to the Local Authority in line with the PPP contract
* Provide support to the Financial Planning and Analysis team and the wider UK finance teams
* Manage the contract Finance Team

* Qualified Accountant
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
* Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
* Possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to communicate to all levels
* Meticulous attention to detail and working to tight deadlines
* Full UK Driving licence and mobility to work away from home
