Occupational Therapist Needed In London Position: Full-Time, Permanent Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Salary: From £41,414 to £49,884 per annum We are currently seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist in London. This role focuses on providing specialised occupational therapy services for students with complex needs, including PMLD, SLD, and autism, in a specialist educational setting. Key Responsibilities: Manage a diverse caseload of students with complex needs, ensuring prioritisation and adherence to ethical standards. Carry out thorough assessments to evaluate students' occupational therapy needs during their transition and ongoing development. Design and deliver tailored therapy programs, providing individual or group sessions as required. Track student progress and adjust therapy plans to maximise effectiveness and outcomes. Employ a range of assessment tools to support students with specific learning disabilities (SLD), profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), and autism. Supervise the use and management of specialist equipment, ensuring it meets the students’ needs. Promote and support students in developing their independence in daily activities, including feeding, mobility, and sensory regulation. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, and other professionals, to ensure holistic support for each student. Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and relevant professionals, sharing information on students' progress and needs. Ensure that therapy is seamlessly integrated into the daily learning environment. Contribute to clinical discussions, offering insights and advice on the best approaches for managing students' educational and therapeutic needs. Participate in meetings with teams and individuals to assess and review students' progress, setting new goals and strategies where necessary.
