An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Practice Facilitator to join our Practice Development Team at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for a motivated adult nurse who enjoys teaching and sharing their knowledge and has an excellent range of clinical skills. If you are an experienced Band 5 nurse with post-registration experience in an acute hospital, have excellent communication, IT and clinical skills with the ability to work well in a team and independently, we would love to hear from you. You will be expected to deliver training via Microsoft Teams and face-to-face sessions and provide ward-based support to newly qualified nurses, internationally educated nurses, nursing associates, health care assistants and other health care professionals undertaking preceptorship, as well as supporting pre-registration students within the clinical successful applicant will:o Have excellent organisational skills and be able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlineso Be a team player and demonstrate a flexible, adaptable approach, ability to exercise good judgmento Have experience of using IT systems and recording data
Main duties of the job
Contribute to the delivery of educational initiatives via different approaches including from face to face, virtual, 1:1, facilitated classrooms and simulation suites working collaboratively with MDT CPF is a visual role model, providing expert advice, knowledge, leadership, support and motivation to establish clinical practice based on research evidence.Contribute to standard setting and regular audit in line with the Trust's commitment to Clinical Governance. To monitor and review clinical and professional standards of care, reporting on performance, and instituting remedial action where post holder will be expected to spend a minimum of 70% working with nursing (including healthcare assistant) staff in clinical practice & the remainder undertaking non-clinical area based education and development practice development team's aim is to support staff to provide evidence-based, high-quality compassionate care to do this by:o Helping staff to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to care for patients and meet NMC Standardso Championing high quality, evidence-based care and addressing areas of poor performanceo Supporting staff with the emotional impact of their work and where necessary signposting to further supporto Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement, where all staff feel empowered to take action to improve care
