We're seeking a future team member for the role of CASS Directory to join our UK Compliance Team. This role is located in Manchester and does not include any international travel - hybrid.
In this role, you'll be part of a dynamic Compliance Team, working collaboratively with the Business to deeply understand and advise upon our Regulatory Risk. You will do this by:
1. Representing Compliance at CASS Forums to provide oversight and challenge.
2. Liaising with and overseeing the business and Senior Management in respect to existing and emerging issues, risks, and breaches.
3. Representing Compliance on Regulatory Change Projects that are impacted by CASS.
4. Liaising with Line of Business Compliance in relation to new business and new products for any CASS considerations.
5. Performing Regulatory Risk Assessments in relation to CASS and helping develop the annual Compliance Plan in relation to CASS.
6. Representing BNY at relevant industry events/forums.
7. Representing Compliance on Client engagements.
8. Providing timely and accurate Management Information where relevant to internal stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
1. Degree educated or a strong academic/professional work record with particular preference for accounting, legal, Risk/Compliance background.
2. A compliance qualification would be a distinct advantage.
3. Proven experience in the UK Financial Sector, with a strong background in Client Asset compliance or assurance.
4. Focused attitude to work with the ability to constantly meet deadlines while ensuring attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
5. Must be able to understand and apply outcome-focused regulation and have a sound risk awareness whilst maintaining an awareness of commercial pressures on the firm.
