Assistant Accountant, Up to £45,000 Benefits, Hybrid Working Included i.e. 2 Days a week in the office, 3 from home, Staines Upon Thames Area, Fantsatic SaaS Technology Company Overview of the Assistant Accountant: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to join our clients finance team. The successful candidate will support the accounting department in various tasks related to financial record-keeping, reporting, and accounting functions. This role is ideal for someone who has a solid understanding of accounting principles and is eager to grow in a fast-paced Software as a Survive (Saas) environment. Assistant Accountat Duties: Posting journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and performing monthly reconciliation of accounts ensuring accuracy and consistency. Prepare and maintain balance sheet schedules and supporting documentation. Ensuring accurate intercompany postings and reconciliations between entities. Prepare and assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports including tracking key SaaS metrics like ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue), and churn rate and renewal rates. Assist with the preparation and processing of subscription-based billing, including handling recurring invoices, renewals, and adjustments. Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy. Assist with payroll processing and ensuring tax compliance. Support compliance with tax filings, VAT/GST returns, and other regulatory requirements. Provide administrative support to the finance team, including filing and organizing accounting documents. Liaise with internal and external auditors for audits and other financial reviews. Other ad-hoc duties as required by the finance team.
