We are looking for an Audit Assistant to work within our Finance Team to ensure compliance with the Financial Regulations set by the FIA, acting as a subject matter expert in this area. You'll play a key role in communicating and educating best practices for audits across our finance functions and the wider business, while embedding a culture of risk mitigation and governance throughout all processes.
As our Audit Assistant, you will assist in the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits, ensuring all required documentation and evidence is accurate, organised, and submitted on time. You’ll monitor and review procedures to ensure adherence to FIA regulations and internal financial policies, maintaining comprehensive auditable records. Additionally, you’ll support the compilation of reports and submissions for the FIA, ensuring confidence in assumptions throughout the year. By helping to develop and implement processes and controls, you’ll enhance collaboration with Cost Cap regulations while building strong relationships with external auditors and the FIA to facilitate a seamless audit process.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
1. The candidate will possess, or be working towards, AAT or equivalent financial qualification.
2. Experience working in audit or compliance roles, preferably within motorsport or regulated industries.
3. Strong understanding of audit processes.
4. The candidate will have strong administrative skills, particularly with Excel as well as experience using accounting software.
5. Strong analytical skills, excellent organisational and communication abilities.
6. Excellent time management, including the ability to prioritise workload and pay attention to detail.
7. Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.
8. To communicate effectively, positively, and respectfully with all colleagues.
9. To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.
10. Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirement to travel to other locations where necessary.
