Working 36.5 hours per week
Work base - Birmingham and hybrid working with travel across Birmingham.
The Children and Young Peoples’ Travel Service (CYPTS) provides transport for 6,000 children and young people who would not be able to attend education without it.
As a Travel Operations Officer, you will undertake route planning and daily management with an overview of 1,000 routes operating across the city of Birmingham. You will also support contract management, data management, ensuring compliance, and administration.
You will work closely with parents, schools, and transport operators to provide a first-class service to children and families.
Understanding the challenges faced by children and young people with special educational needs and their families is essential. Using your skills in information gathering, communication, and problem resolution, you will put children and families at the heart of what you do.
The role requires travel to school sites, transport operator sites, and on school routes as necessary.
