An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for 5 Pest Control Operatives to join our Environmental Health team on a permanent basis.

Position Details
The postholder will join a team of Pest Control Officers and contribute to the provision of the pest control service within Environmental Health (including covering dog warden duties when required).
Duties will include:
* Planning and carrying out site visits/inspections,
* Providing advice to the public, businesses, and other stakeholders,
* Investigate complaints and service requests (including treating pests as required),
* Liaise with other services and organisations.
Experience in the pest control or allied industries, and a current driving licence are essential requirements of this role. A First Aid certificate is desirable.
Officers are provided with all required PPE, ongoing training and have access to a Council van which they may use for home to work travel.
It is anticipated that interviews will take place week commencing 21 April 2025.
Contract Details
Weekly Hours: 37 + 2.5 hours contractual overtime per week
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday, with weekend standby service provision on a rota basis
Annual Salary: £24,183.81 - £25,716.37 on an incremental scale
Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attracts a non-standard work pattern/hours (NSWPH) payment of £2,091, a working context & demand (WCD) payment of £1,127 per annum, and you will also receive a payment in relation to the contractual overtime noted.
