Uxbridge County Court - Admin Officer (AO)

Work Setting: 5 days in office
This is a temporary contract role until August 2025 for an Admin Officer position with an immediate start date (compliance dependent) for a ten-month duration with a possible extension.
Job Description:
This is a brilliant opportunity for candidates to work as an Admin Officer on behalf of our client, Uxbridge County Court. Responsibilities include making travel and meeting arrangements, preparing reports, and maintaining appropriate filing systems. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools like MS Excel and office equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administration:
Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings, and meetings.
Producing court/tribunal documents.
General photocopying and filing.
Creating and updating records on in-house computer systems and data input.
Post opening and dispatch.
Booking, preparing, and organizing meeting rooms, supporting training courses and other group activities.
2. Drafting:
Standard letters and correspondence, minutes, notes, reports, submissions, etc., according to guidelines and instructions.
3. Operations:
Clerking civil and family courts, tribunals, and hearings, ensuring papers and materials are available and up to date.
Assisting court users, supporting listing and rota management, checking files.
Contacting relevant parties, scheduling, serving court documents, executing a range of warrants, collecting fines and fees, etc.
4. Processing Casework:
Including standard documentation and information, court orders, claims, fines and fees, legal aid.
5. Checking and Verifying:
Documents, records, accounts, claims, and returns for approval against criteria, regulations, or procedures.
6. Collecting and Assembling Information:
For returns, results, accounts, statements, warrants, statistical analysis, reports, etc.
7. Undertaking Calculations:
Produce basic statistical analysis reports and where required, process financial information.
8. Communicating:
Communicate and work with the Judiciary, Magistracy, Cluster Managers, Court staff, and other internal and external stakeholders.
