Job Title: Site Supervisor - SEN School
Hours: Part-Time: 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM (negotiable to full-time 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
Dunbar Education is proud to be recruiting for a dedicated Site Supervisor to join a highly respected Special Educational Needs (SEN) school. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous experience as a Site Supervisor or School Caretaker to take on an important role in maintaining and improving the school's environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the school premises.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the safety of staff, pupils, and visitors.
- Carry out minor repairs and maintenance work as required, including plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
- Work closely with school leadership to ensure the school remains compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Manage the school's cleaning staff and external contractors to ensure high standards are met.
- Respond promptly to any emergency situations, such as equipment breakdowns or safety hazards.
- Ensure the security of the site by locking up the premises and setting alarms at the end of the day.
- Assist with setting up rooms for school events, meetings, and examinations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, such as a Site Supervisor or School Caretaker.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations, including fire safety procedures.
- Practical skills in general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with school staff, contractors, and students.
- A positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for the school community.
