Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week We require all staff to work a minimum of 2 days per week on average, working in-person, in line with our hybrid working framework. The person will also be expected to take part in an out-of-hours rota with the broader external affairs team. We are looking for an experienced media manager to help us continue to secure high-profile media coverage. This includes having a focus on proactively contacting journalists to pitch stories, managing media bids, and working closely with colleagues focusing on key policy issues to ensure press activity supports wider communications plans and helps deliver impact. To be successful in the role of Media Manager, you will have: significant experience working within an influential press office, including a record of proactively securing top-tier coverage (essential) excellent written and verbal communication skills - capable of writing high-quality press releases, comments, briefings, and other written materials (essential) the ability to build strong relationships with senior internal and external colleagues in a short period of time (essential) lead projects with other communications disciplines, especially public affairs (highly desirable), and project manage launches of key reports.
