Job Title: Early Years Practitioner for Primary Location: Southampton, Hampshire Salary: £12.83 per hour Start Date: Easter 2025 Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Part-Time Can Be Arranged for the Right Candidate) Do you have a passion for supporting young children in their early years of education? GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and nurturing Early Years Practitioner (EYP) to join a primary school in Southampton. This position is perfect for someone who is dedicated to early childhood education and eager to support young learners in their crucial developmental years. Key Responsibilities: Support children’s early development through play-based and structured learning activities. Assist in planning and delivering lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment that supports young children’s growth. Work closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to enhance learning experiences. Observe and monitor children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents. Ideal Candidate: Previous experience in an early years or primary school setting is desirable. A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years Education, or a related field is advantageous. A patient, caring, and creative approach to supporting young learners. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff and parents. An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, with any gaps explained).
