We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Events Administrator to join our Events and Functions Team for a 12-month period to cover maternity leave. You will be responsible for managing sales and providing accurate information to the Operational Team. The Events Administrator will deal with general day-to-day administrative duties as well as work at events as required for the business. The post holder will report to the Soft FM Manager and will liaise with internal and external customers daily. Key responsibilities Monitor the events inboxes, answer queries and manage room bookings and other requirements i.e. hospitality, technology and tours Update and maintain the events booking system Positive approach to all sales opportunities to maximise sales and revenue Ensure accurate information is received at all times Process invoices from the Councils system Take payments from customers Provide business summaries and reports Liaise with external suppliers ensuring the supply of their goods and services meet the requirements of the customer, and charges are passed on accordingly. Maintain an accurate knowledge of Events and Functions Services Arrange and carry out show rounds Assist with marketing campaigns and manage social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook The Person The ideal candidate will be someone who is self-motivated and enthusiastic You will need to be an excellent communicator - both face to face and written - and be able to communicate with a wide range of people across at all levels Good working knowledge of Excel and MS Office Confident to use booking software Flexible within your work approach High standards of personal presentation and telephone manner are also required.
