Job Purpose
To manage and improve the Quality function and systems in accordance with the annual Operations and Quality objectives, goals, strategies & measures (OGSM).
Task & Accountabilities
1. An active member of plant management team who can lead by example as a change agent with strong coordination, communication and coaching skills.
2. Manage the direct reporting of Quality Engineers and Technician, including work priorities, annual personal development planning and training.
3. Able to contribute and drive forward the Bradford site and also contribute to the EMEIA regional Quality vision at local level, cascading objectives, goals, strategies, measures (OGSM) into the site and individual reports through PPM
4. Clearly understand internal / external customer quality requirements, including inspection and test certification, and develop suitable value driven metrics to verify performance improvements.
5. Maintaining ISO & other relevant certifications for the site.
6. Maintain and continually improve the site’s Quality Management System in alignment with regional and / or global directions to enhance the value added benefits to the business (continuous improvement & best business practice sharing).
7. Ability to facilitate the resolution of Quality problems through the wider cross functional team involvement via suitable tools such as 8D problem solving and lean six sigma methodologies as appropriate.
8. Coordinate customer & external audit / inspection body accreditation and relationships.
9. Ensure that all company HS&E policies and procedures are personally adhered
Skills and Experience
10. ISO : internal auditor
11. Practical knowledge of implementing and improving quality management systems.
12. Root Cause analysis and solution investigations
13. Document control
14. Use of Quality tools and techniques such as problem solving, FMEA, control plans.
15. Lead a team through change.
16. Develop strong working relationships
17. Practical experience of internal and external lead audit.
18. Experience in a senior quality engineer position or similar
19. Managing teams to improve quality in similar working environments.
