About the role of Quantity Surveyor
Your role as Quantity Surveyor will be to work on timber frame and low rise apartment developments across Suffolk and the surrounding counties. Managing up to 3 sites at a given time from procurement and buying through to final accounting. You will be responsible for, but not limited to: CVRs, dispute resolution, subcontractor management and payments, cost management.
Requirements for Quantity Surveyor
The company is looking for a candidate who is a team player, who can work collaboratively with the wider business, and has experience working on residential developments, ideally with another developer. The ideal candidate should have the following:
1. COINS knowledge
2. Degree in a construction related subject
3. Minimum of 4 years experience on a similar project
4. Competent in managing subcontractor packages and payments
5. Driver's licence
The company:
The company is a regional developer who has been established for 40 years, working on timber frame and low rise apartments with sites in Suffolk, Cambridge, Norfolk, and Essex. With approximately 700 homes built annually, you will be part of a commercial team of 12 working closely with buyers and estimators. You will be predominantly office-based in Bury St Edmunds and travel to sites.
