Position Summary
Our company is seeking a committed and passionate Electrical Engineer to become a part of our small team in Aberdeen, WA. This is an entry-level position in electrical engineering. In this role, you will address all electrical requirements for our projects. Responsibilities include planning the development of future barges, as well as maintaining and troubleshooting the existing plants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Electrical
1. Creation of the single line diagrams for Company plants including the designing of all circuits.
2. Spec out new electrical equipment for Company plants to meet coast guard CFRs and all other relevant electrical safety certifications. This includes wire, breaker panels, transformers, transfer switches, motors, control panels, sensors, and more.
3. Troubleshoot Company electrical issues within the operational plants.
4. Assist in the creation and installation of UL listed control panels in conjunction with contracted electrical engineers.
5. Assist in project management when electrical equipment is being installed.
6. Troubleshoot refrigeration control panels.
7. Troubleshoot generators' electrical and control issues.
8. Troubleshoot field wiring issues.
9. Prototyping and creation of new equipment for the Company fleet of barges.
Controls
1. Assist in the design of Company automation control systems.
2. Troubleshoot and maintain Company automation software.
3. Work with SQL databases.
4. Basic network connectivity troubleshooting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Hands-on experience.
2. Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
3. Familiarity with CAD software and electrical design tools.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Must be at least 18 years old.
8. Ability to travel between Company locations, PNW - Alaska.
9. Valid driver's license.
10. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods.
11. Position may require the ability to travel or work offshore.
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Physical Requirements:
1. This role involves working on your feet for long hours, both indoors and outdoors.
2. Physical activities include lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, standing, and moving throughout the day.
3. The employee must be able to work in a physically demanding environment on a remote island in Alaska and long hours during the summer months.
Education & Experience
1. Experience with industrial electrical systems.
2. Experience with marine electrical requirements.
3. Ignition certification.
4. Bachelor's in electrical engineering.
