Linesperson Our Role We are looking for experienced Overhead Line Chargehands to join our teams working on our SSEN contract. The Linesperson will be the responsible party for leading teams of 2- or 3-person teams in the erection of poles, changing transformers and carry out any other overhead line work that may be required. We have secured a long term contract with SSEN (Scottish Southern Electricity Networks), This will include both planned and reactive underground cable infrastructure works up to 33kV in the Ridgeway Area. This builds on our existing relationship with SSEN, where we are responsible for overhead line works up to 33kV and vegetation management works up to 132kV networks in the Reading and Aldershot areas. Our current teams working on these projects are based in Hermitage, near Reading. Well now be looking into Chippenham as a further depot to support this contract. Our teams will be working across the Ridgeway area. Key Responsibilities We are looking for someone to: Carrying out all work in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of SSE. Install, build and refurbish overhead lines up to 33kV. Conform to all instructions stated in method statements and risk assessments. Liaise with Site Supervisors regarding and specific site issues.
