An exciting opportunity has become available for a Diabetes Research Specialist Nurse, based primarily at MFT but often needed to provide support at the outreach clinics within the community.

We are seeking to employ a Registered Nurse with either research experience and/or extensive clinical experience within the disease field and have an interest in research. We’re looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who can contribute to the development of research within the Cardiovascular and Diabetes Research team.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse- currently registered with the NMC
* Degree in healthcare subject or equivalent level of experience
* ICH-Good Clinical Practice certificate
* Teaching or Mentorship Qualification
* Relevant Counselling skills
* Non-Medical Prescribing or working towards
Knowledge
* Understanding of Clinical Research
* Significant recent experience of caring for patients with Diabetes
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Experience of driving change in care settings
* Post registration experience of working in and managing patients with Diabetes
* Proven experience of working to deadlines
* Proven experience of dealing with a busy workload
* Evidence of leadership skills
* Experience of managing clinical trials
* Knowledge of clinical and research governance
* Knowledge of Trust policies and procedures
Training and experience
* Significant Band 6 Clinical Nurse experience.
* Evidence of good organisational and planning skills.
* Experience of change management.

* Experience in planning/organising workload of self and others
* Evidence of writing standard operating procedures
