Further details about the role
The Avenue Primary School and Children’s Centre and Acorn Education Trust are seeking to appoint an inspirational and driven Deputy Headteacher to join its team of senior leaders, and provide support in leading this inclusive and successful school, with effect from September 2025.
We are a vibrant co-educational, non-denominational primary school, educating children between the ages of 3 and 11. Located in the charming garrison town of Warminster, Wiltshire, our staff are dedicated to creating a safe and exciting place for children to thrive and learn. Our school values of respect, kindness and honesty are central to everything we do and are at the heart of a strong sense of belonging for all in our school community. We take the success of every child very personally and offer a wide range of opportunities to help them develop as confident individuals. In April 2024, we were proud to have retained our ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and were praised for being a fully inclusive school where pupils are resilient and strive to be the best they can be. We are part of the Acorn Education Trust, which provides exciting opportunities to collaborate and improve local education.
This is an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable teacher who is an existing or aspiring senior leader looking to build on the many established strengths of this vibrant school. The successful candidate will be expected to support the headteacher in leading enthusiastic and dedicated staff towards further enhancement of the school’s offer. We will appoint the candidate that will best fit the team and the needs of the school.
