Job Advertisement: Domestic Assistant
Location: Warwick House, Acocks Green, Birmingham, UK
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with learning disabilities, autism, complex health conditions, and challenging behaviour? Warwick House is seeking a domestic assistant to join our supportive and nurturing team.
About Warwick House: Warwick House is a specialist long-stay home providing care for children with a range of learning disabilities. Our aim is to create a nurturing environment where children can develop the skills and confidence they need for day-to-day life. We support children with emotional well-being, health, and social needs, tailoring our care to meet their individual requirements.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated domestic assistant. You will receive full support, ongoing training, and development opportunities.
The Residential provision is a 24hr service; applicants for these roles will be expected to work shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
Responsibilities:
* General cleaning duties - communal, floor, kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms
* Specialised cleaning tasks - sanitisation, waste management, laundry duties
* Health, safety and hygiene - COSH guidelines, hazard and infection control, PPE
* Supporting children’s needs - awareness and flexibility with cleaning schedules
* Teamwork and engagement - respecting privacy
* Stock management and record keeping
* Training - keeping up to date with cleaning standards and compliance
Requirements:
* Relevant experience.
* Strong organisation and time management skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to providing a high-quality service.
* Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers.
