The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the people and functions within the Unplanned Care administration team.
The Unplanned Care team is responsible for preventing hospital admission, providing urgent community care to people in their own homes. The administration staff are responsible for processing and registering new referrals and supporting the achievement of service key performance indicators/targets. They aim to make effective use of resources and ensure that referrals are effectively and safely managed through the system.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for working collaboratively with team members to effectively coordinate and deliver a high quality of service. They will be an ambassador for the service and will be motivated to provide first-class administration in a professional manner to support the work of the service and meet strategic and business objectives.
Job responsibilities
* To be responsible for the line management of the Service Administrators including performance management, annual appraisals and identification of training needs.
* To be responsible for ensuring workload is allocated appropriately across the team, prioritising and relocating work according to the service needs.
* Promote crossover and flexible working amongst team members.

* Educated to degree level or equivalent level combination of diploma level education, further short courses/training and experience.
* Evidence of continuous personal and professional development.

* Experience of administration management.
* Experience of staff management and motivating diverse teams.
* Experience of budgetary management and of monitoring financial management and control procedures.
* Experience of audit.

* Experience of developing, implementing and reviewing policies, guidelines, protocols, processes and administrative systems.

* Previous experience of using databases at an advanced level.
