Protocol Education are working alongside a school in North Bristol who are looking to appoint an inspiration teacher of Computer Science. They are on the look out for a candidate who is passionate and knowledge about their subject, someone who can create engaging learning for a demanding subject in this modern world. As a Computer Science teacher you will be teaching across KS3 + KS4, outlining the bigger picture for the curriculum within the department - to develop core concepts and develop a range of skills for each student - allowing them to become literate to prepare them for their future lives.
Your main role and responsibility as a teacher of Computer Science will be to provide engaging, inspirational and high quality teaching and learning opportunities for all students as well as supporting the sucsess of the department & the school.
The sucsessful candidate will have:
1. A qualified teacher status/relevant degree.
2. Secondary school teaching trained.
3. Excellent subject knowledge including: programming, computational thinking, Logic, Boolean Logic, a computer and it's systems architecture
4. Number systems - binary + denary, e-safety, coding.
5. Understanding of assessment to promote student learning
6. Excellent communication skills
7. Vision, enthusiasm and passion for subject and learning.
8. Good behaviour and classroom management.
9. Ability to form good, professional relationships with colleauges and students.
