Acacia Therapy Homes Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support/Care Worker to join our team in a solo placement therapeutic home. The home operates on the PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy) model, providing therapeutic care and support to individuals with complex needs. This role requires committed individuals to work 1:1 with the young person, offering tailored support to meet their emotional, physical, and social needs.

Responsibilities:
* Provide support and care to children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with other professionals.
* Maintain effective communication with children, families, and team members to foster a supportive environment.
* Assist with daily activities, including personal care, educational support, and recreational activities.
* Document and report any changes in behavior or health to appropriate personnel.
* Drive children to appointments and activities as needed, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Person Specification:
Essential:
* Experience in working with young people with complex needs, including mental health, trauma, or behavioural challenges.
* Knowledge of therapeutic approaches, particularly the PACE model (training can be provided).
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging behaviours effectively.
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
* Reliable, empathetic, and committed to promoting the well-being of the young person.
Desirable:
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
* Previous experience in a solo placement or therapeutic care setting.
* First Aid and Medication Administration training.
