Sales and New Business Development Executive – The Role:
As Sales Executive, your primary responsibility is to meet/exceed your personal sales targets, as set by the Sales Manager. You will cover Lincolnshire and selected national accounts. You will also be responsible for the ongoing account management and business development of clients within your territory and throughout the UK.
As New Business Development Executive you will be expected to open new accounts and re-establish/re-energise existing accounts where sales have fallen to unacceptable levels. New business activities will be primarily within your allocated territory of Lincolnshire and exceptionally outside this area where you have existing relationships or national accounts.
Please note, regular travel would be required throughout Lincolnshire and exceptionally, UK travel.
Sales and New Business Development Executive – Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer contact with the express objective of meeting and surpassing personal targets.
- Plan and prioritise personal new business development activities with the express objective of opening new accounts and re-energising dwindling/dormant accounts
- Be proactive and take personal responsibility in developing contacts, maintaining client relationships, and arranging appointments
- Understand individual clients’ wants and needs, and tailor propositions accordingly
- At all times act with the utmost professionalism and integrity, delivering outstanding customer service to your client base and delivering the South Ormsby Estate WHERE-WHAT-NOW values
- Maintain a strong relationship with The Sales Manager and other colleagues at South Ormsby Estate. It is an expectation to solicit help and guidance
- Update the database to ensure that information held is accurate and up to date
- Attend Trade Shows and promotional events when appropriate or required
- Feedback to the Sales Manager on the online marketing of our products, including product launches and special promotion opportunity as well as the activity of competitors in your territory
- Attend meetings and contribute to the South Ormsby Estate’s strategy and policymaking as required
- Develop personal skills and capability through ongoing training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to company approval
- Ensure that company standards are maintained in accordance with the staff handbook
- Creative Initiatives – ensuring you are aware at all times of new opportunities which would help promote the Estate and meet the performance targets
- Manage your clients to the agreed payment terms
- Undertake additional duties as the Sales Manager in their discretion may determine to be necessary and reasonable to fulfil company objectives
Sales and New Business Development Executive – You:
- Be able to demonstrate a willingness in field sales
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Ability to determine a customer’s needs to recommend products and services
- Have excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong networking skills to build relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Adept at using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, data and digital technologies to enhance communication
- In-depth knowledge of sales strategy, product demonstration and sales reports
- Be an ambitious, self-starter with the willingness to visit existing customers in your territory as well as seek out new sales opportunities
