We are looking for a skilled professional to join a growing precision component manufacturer in their machining department.
As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for setting and operating a range of CNC lathes to manufacture precision components to drawing.
Your responsibilities as a CNC Turner:
* Machine precision components from various raw materials to the exacting standards of engineering drawings.
* Ensure components are manufactured using relevant measuring equipment and in line with the individual component Inspection Schedule.
* Set and operate a range of CNC lathes including chucking and bar-fed machines with live tooling and Y-axis capability.
* Work collaboratively within the manufacturing department to optimise machining processes.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.
Your current experience which will help you as a CNC Turner:
* Completed a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship and minimum 3 years experience on in a similar environment.
* Proven experience within a precision engineering environment.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
* Proficient in using measurement equipment to ensure component accuracy and quality.
* Familiarity with working within specified quality standards and tolerances.
* A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
What you can expect as a CNC Turner:
* GBP17 - GBP20 per hour, dependent on experience. (40 hour week)
* 24 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
