Beaumont College is a very special place and we are seeking to extend our work-family in response to increased demand for places at the college. If you have a passion to support some of the most vulnerable special school leavers to fulfil their potential through support for the planned, high-quality delivery of learning, this role is for you.
About You
We are seeking to appoint a College Support Worker with a passion to support special school leavers in their journey to prepare for adulthood. Ideally, you will have experience of supporting learners, particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). You will be creative, inclusive, and look forward to working with our students who love to learn and are motivated to attend, enjoy, and achieve!
You will work with a wider team including teachers, tutors, and learning support colleagues. We offer small class sizes and high levels of support to our learners, and as a result, they make the progress they are capable of. Our pathways are highly personalised, and alongside Preparing for Adulthood, learners will each have a bespoke package of health and support interventions including physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, speech and language therapy, and occupational therapy, as well as access to a skilled and experienced team of assistive technologists and positive behaviour practitioners.
Vocational themes of learning support students to make progress, both educationally and in self-advocacy, confidence, self-belief, and resilience in preparation for life beyond college in busy and fulfilling destinations.
About The Role
Our students enjoy learning and they love our college, so we do have a lot to smile about. We are a close-knit team and would welcome new colleagues to be part of this enabling, empowering, and equipping world of supporting students to fulfil their potential.
